A Stage Production About the Making of DUCK AND COVER!

This alert is for those of you in the Los Angeles area. CONELRAD has just received word that James McDonald and a supporting cast will be performing a staged reading of Ken Rizzo's play "The Making Of" as part of the Ensemble Studio Theatre's Winterfest series. The play concerns the production of the Citizen Kane of Civil Defense, DUCK AND COVER (1951). Ken Rizzo is a uniquely informed playwrite because his father, Anthony Rizzo, directed DUCK AND COVER. Needless to say, CONELRAD is looking forward to seeing this production at 8 PM on March 14th.

The play will be performed at the Miles Memorial Playhouse at 1130 Lincoln Blvd., a 1/2 block north of Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica. Parking is FREE at 808 Wilshire Blvd. (enter on Lincoln and mention the Miles Memorial to the parking lot attendant) and the performance is "pay-what-you-can." Reservations can be made by calling 213-368-9552. Check out the theatre's website @ http://www.ensemblestudiotheatrela.org/
