TWILIGHT'S LAST GLEAMING

DIRECTOR: Robert Aldrich
YEAR: 1977

Renegade Air Force General Burt Lancaster escapes from a military prison and with a crew of fellow cons takes over a nuclear missile launch control facility. Threatens to fire if the President doesn't air a dirty secret. Director Robert Aldrich loads this warhead with an action and violence payload that never fizzles. Note the Sarin gas security booby trap that must be defeated to gain access to the launch controls.
