An ambitious and disturbing film that has been unjustly neglected. THE DAMNED contrasts the ultra violence of a teen gang led by Oliver Reed (theme song "Black leather, black leather, smash, smash, smash..") with the cynical official violence of a government imprisoning children in a subterranean radioactive environment as they are prepared to one day inherit a shattered post-atomic world.
