ROCKET ATTACK USA

DIRECTOR: Barry Mahon
YEAR: 1960

An American spy travels to Moscow to learn more about a Sputnik-like satellite. He discovers that it is collecting data on how best to launch a missile attack on the US. A grade Z film notable mainly for its direct approach in depicting the mania inspired by the Cold War in general and Sputnik in particular. The words "We cannot let this be - The End" appear on screen after a single Soviet missile explodes in Manhattan.
