A multi-national/racially diverse contingent of earthling explorers land on Venus only to discover the radiation-deadened remains of a highly evolved civilization. This East German/Polish co-production was based on a novel by European sci-fi author Stanislaw Lem and was released in the US minus 30 minutes of footage.
