THE DAY THE FISH CAME OUT

DIRECTOR: Michael Cacoyannis
YEAR: 1967

A very sixties atomic film: Candice Bergen go-go dances on a suddenly trendy resort island in the Agean Sea while agents passing for tourists attempt to recover lost nuclear warheads. Premised on the real life "lost H-Bombs" of Palomares, Spain, this dated futuristic satire from the creator of ZORBA THE GREEK nevertheless has many charms including a smashing soundtrack.
