Michael Weldon's The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film

THE PSYCHOTRONIC ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FILM

Through his obsessive film viewing, writing and publishing Cleveland, Ohio native Michael J. Weldon has done more for the preservation of strange films than any one person on the face of the earth. His masterpiece is The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film (1983) and if a worn copy isnít on your bookshelf or on your TV stand, what the hell is wrong with you? There really isnít much more to add other than the bookís foreword by Christopher Cerf is an excellent introduction to the mind of Mr. Weldon. The heavily illustrated book features reviews of over 3,000 unusual movies, many of which have Cold War influences. Essential! Followed in 1996 by the equally essential The Psychotronic Video Guide.

Sadly, Mr. Weldon's Psychotronic Video Magazine has ceased publication, but it lives on via the web.
